Farewell 2008

Those who appreciate West Chester to its fullest know the diversity of its population is an asset of inestimable value. One aspect is the varied, highly accomplished talents of a large number of its residents. An aware, diligent and creative Mayor is in the best position to enlist those talented individuals in the town's service in a variety of ways. I will seek to do just that as your Mayor if you will give me that opportunity.

As an example of such talent, we need look no further than this campaign organization; I'm proud Jim Salvas is serving as Campaign Manager. Many in town know he is a photographer of professional caliber. He and his D300 Nikon are ubiquitous at many places and events in and around West Chester. Jim took this absolutely astonishing picture at the kitchen faucet of his East Marshall Street home. (Note the background image of Mother Earth reflected inside the drops; click photo to see.)

Today this image was named "Digital Photo of the Day" and broadcast worldwide by a leading online digital photo Website. Congratulations Jim, and thanks for generously sharing your talent with and for the benefit of the West Chester Community.

Happy New Year to all.

Bill
